Sporting career
Last winter, Ultima was shown at 1m-level, and this year she is competing in the 5-year-old classes
Dam's line
Ultima's dam's line is one of the most prestigious in Belgian breeding. Her dam, Hirondelle, is a daughter of the legendary stallion For Pleasure and is part of mares line 116, breeding family 277. This line has produced several showjumpers competing at international level.
- Hirondelle (Contact van de Heffinck x For Pleasure): This mare comes from a strong performance line and has several successful offspring, including Jalanta van de Vrombautshoeve Z, who performs at 1.40m level. Hirondelle combines the power and elasticity of Contact van de Heffinck with the work ethic and reliability of For Pleasure.
- For Pleasure: As damsire, For Pleasure is one of the most influential stallions in modern showjumping. He won numerous victories at the highest level, including Olympic medals, and has produced offspring such as Fit For Fun and Funky Fred, who are causing a furore internationally.
Ultima's maternal line goes further back to the famous Holivea van Costersveld (Randel Z x Beaujolais). This influential mare is the granddam of Cornet Obelensky, one of the leading stallions in show jumping today. Holivea is at the base of numerous top talents, including:
