About Habiba

Habiba Van De Vrombautshoeve is a 2017 bay mare bred out of Harley VDL and Hirondelle (Contact Van De Heffinck).

Sporting Career
The Zangersheide-registered mare currently runs 1m35 under the saddle of Peter Boelens. With her good pedigree and stable performance, Habiba shows she is a promising show jumper.

Dam's line

On the dam's side, Habiba descends from the mare Hirondelle (by Contact van de Heffinck), who is part of mares line 116, breeding family 277. Hirondelle comes from a strong lineage and has produced several offspring jumping at level, including Habiba herself and Jalanta van de Vrombautshoeve Z. Her sire, Contact van de Heffinck, is known for his powerful jumps and elasticity, traits he clearly passes on to his offspring. He is a son of Concept, who in turn comes from a renowned dam line; his dam Franziska is a full sister to the famous stallion Clinton.

Habiba's dam line goes further back to the influential Holivea van Costersveld (Randel Z x Beaujolais). This mare is not only the foundation dam of horses such as Rabanna van Costersveld (1.45m jumping) and Vivaldo van het Costersveld (1.60m jumping), but is also the granddam of Cornet Obelensky. This legendary stallion achieved numerous victories at the highest level and is considered one of the most influential sires of modern show jumpers.
